Over the past 15 years, Lisa has held leadership positions in both government and not-for-profit organizations, at the provincial and national levels, as well as in the academic environment. The chief focus of her previous posts has been around strategic planning and facilitation, stakeholder engagement and partnership development, capacity building and educational design in the areas of chronic disease prevention, mental health, patient engagement and knowledge exchange. Consequently, Dr. Petermann is broadly published in peer-reviewed journals ranging from coalition building and knowledge translation, to mental health and addiction, to nutrition and chronic disease prevention, and patient engagement in health research.

Lisa has a flair for facilitation, enthusiasm for engagement, and proficiency in project management. She is a licensed Insights Practitioner and enjoys watching the ‘ah-ha’ moments people have in their self-awareness journey. Her passion for facilitation and engagement led to the creation of EXEP Consulting Inc. in 2007. Since then Lisa has facilitated across Canada and as far abroad as Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic!
