CFN, In partnership with the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement (CFHI) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research — Institute of Aging (CIHR-IA) held a nation-wide competition and received 79 submission from every province and territory, representing nearly every conceivable facet of frailty care.
Canada is a nation of 13 healthcare systems and great local/regional innovations in these systems all-too-often don’t get shared on a national stage. CFN created the FRAILTY MATTERS Innovation Showcase to put the spotlight on Canada’s best. Recognizing these innovations is just part of the formula – our goal is to start conversations, breed new thinking and approaches to frailty across Canada’s health systems. Canada needs to talk about frailty and older adults.
