A family physician in Quebec City since 1990, Dr. Légaré is full professor with the Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Université Laval in Québec City and Canada Research Chair in Implementation of Shared Decision Making in Primary Care. She first trained in Architecture before training as a family physician. She obtained a MSc degree in community health from university laval and a PhD in Population health from the University of Ottawa. She is scientific director of the Laval University primary care practice-based research network dedicated to shared decision making. She leads the health services system, knowledge transfer and knowledge synthesis of the Québec SUPPORT unit.
